The Holidays

Well, the holidays have come and gone, and so has another year. Chris and I hope you all had a wonderful and joy filled Christmas and New Year. Just so everyone is clear, we did not send out cards this year. I didn't get my act together in time, so we'll make up to you next year. I just didn't want anyone thinking we forgot them. We did however receive many beautiful cards, thank you to everyone who sent one to us. I don't know what it is about Christmas cards but I can't seem to get rid of them, no matter how old they are. Each year I tuck the cards we received away as if they were an ornament or decoration with all the other Christmas stuff and forget about them. Then the next year when I pull out all the boxes of decorations I come across the cards and I have to sit down and look at everyone before I can continue to decorate. This year I found 2007 and 2006 cards. I think the move probably caused me to get rid of the cards before that, I had put 2007's cards in a stocking. I don't remember doing that, but I think I save the cards because I remember my mom saving cards from year to year.

Anyway, here are some pictures of Nathan, he smiles all the time and laughs out loud these big belly laughs. I don't care what kind of mood you're in, when you hear the sound of your child laughing you can't help but laugh too.

I found Facebook

Hi all. Well, I broke down and made a facebook page. I already had this blog (of course) and myspace and I didn't want yet another site to keep up, but I started one anyway. So if you have a facebook page look me up and we'll chat. Here are some new pictures of Nathan. He's doing good. He's fighting a cold right now. I took him to see the doctor last Tuesday about it and he weighed 12 pounds 4 ounces!! I couldn't believe it!!

Doctor Appointment update

Hi all! All of the doctors' appointments went well. I was cleared to go back to work and will return on December 1st. Lynette has already informed me that I'll be her slave when I return. Nate is now 10 pounds 4 ounces!! WOW!! I thought he felt heavy! He's completely out of his Newborn clothing now and his 0-3 month clothes are getting tight. He also grew 2 whole inches!! He goes in again on the 20th for his first round of shots!! :(

Hope everyone is well and staying warm, I think fall is upon us, and me without a rake (and a lot more trees)!

So I went to the closet this morning to see what I could find to dress Nathan in and there sat an outfit I didn't think would fit little Nathan for a while yet. But he's determined to grow up too fast, so this three month outfit fits him now at 6 weeks!! Anyway, I just had to take some pictures because I also happen to find these shoes that were given to me by the daughter of one of my mom's friends because they match perfectly. It's looks like I planned it, but nothing I plan works out that well!! Nathan looks like such a little man today, too cute!! Enjoy!

Busy Week of Appointments

This upcoming week is going to be busy. Tomorrow morning I see the neurologist about my migraines, Tuesday morning Nathan and I visit Diana our new daycare provider, Wednesday I have my very last appointment with my OB, and Thursday Nathan has his 6 week check up already! I can't believe it's been 6 weeks. He's grown out of all of his newborn size clothes and his 3 month clothing fits just right, so I think he'll be in 3-6 month clothing by Christmas!! Too fast, it's all going too fast.

Nathan and I were in Michigan this weekend visiting my parents while Chris was in Seattle, WA in a wedding. My brother Tim came over from Howell, MI for the weekend with his three kids, who are also getting too big, too fast, and my sister Christy came up from South Bend, IN. It was a very nice weekend. My Dad has started doing Weight Watchers and he's already lost 12 pounds in three weeks, which is great!! While he was weighing himself Mom handed him Nathan and the scale went up about 10 pounds which would mean Nathan gained 3 pounds 4 ounces since his last doctors' appointment, so it'll be interesting to see what he weighs on Thursday. I'll update everyone on Thursday after Nathan's appointment.

We got to spend some time with Amber, Steve, Emily, and Ava this afternoon, although I have no pictures of all of us. I think Amber and Steve got some. Ava was a bear for Halloween and Emily was a pumpkin and they were both adorable!!

Nathan got her outfit from Grandma and Aunt Marlene and it fits him just right. He tried to help Grandma hand out the candy to the trick or treaters, but he couldn't keep his eyes open.

"I'm a month old today!"

Wow how time flies, usually whether you're having fun or not. But I must say I've been having a ball. I'd like more sleep, but there's an old saying, I can sleep when I'm dead. I'm starting to think a parent of a newborn came up with that. Anyway, Nathan's a month old today and I can not believe the changes. My mom and I were just commenting today the outfit (not the one pictured here) he had on was just right which means he'll probably only wear it once or twice more before it's too small. His 0-3 month clothes are starting to look less baggy on him. The outfit he's wearing in this picture he got from his Aunt Christy, props for the Space Invaders onies, it is 3 month and it's still a little big on him which is great because this picture was the first time Nathan was albe to wear it. He's growing so fast I was affraid he wouldn't fit into it for long.
